Sunny has been dancing all her life. But for the last 10 years most of her life has been spent on the road, living out of a suitcase from hotel room to hotel room or in her sanctuary, the dressing room backstage. The hours are long, the rehearsals take a toll on the body, but like the saying goes “the things you love hurt you the most”. Sunny is a NYC product hailing from Queens. A Towsend Harris High School grad majoring in dance and a student of the prestigious Alvin Ailey Dance Company. Occasionally a tour she’s dancing in makes a stop in her hometown, NYC, and she gets to go home. These photos here document the journey from home to the stage.
